About Microneedling

Before we delve deeper into microneedling and the cost of this procedure, let’s explain how this works. Also known as collagen induction therapy or CIT, this is a type of treatment that rejuvenates the skin by improving the texture and tone utilizing a special device that has very tiny needles at the end of it.

In addition to traditional microneedling, we also offer PRP microneedling. PRP stands for “Platelet-Rich Plasma”.  Microneedling with PRP is a cosmetic treatment that stimulates collagen production by rolling fine needles over the skin and applying platelets, which are one of the components of blood. … PRP contains proteins, including growth factors and cytokines. These proteins help skin tissue repair itself.

Throughout the treatment, a microneedling tool will move across the skin, which creates micro-channels in the upper layer of your skin. This is designed to trigger the natural repair process in the body so that collagen production is stimulated. It also allows for nutrient-rich serums to be applied, penetrating deeper than regular application allows, essentially nourishing the skin from within. As collagen growth occurs, your skin will become firmer, with any acne scars, wrinkles, or fine lines being filled in to create a more youthful and radiant appearance.

Average Microneedling Cost

The cost of microneedling does differ from clinic to clinic and patient to patient. Research shows that microneedling costs between $100 and $600. This is quite a wide price range and we will explain why there is such a difference in costs in the next section.

Factors That Influence Microneedling Costs

There are a number of different factors that influence the cost of microneedling, and this is why the prices differ considerably. If both you and your friend have gone for a microneedling consultation, and you have been given different quotes, there is a reason why.

The likelihood in this instance is that you are having different parts of the face treated. If you have a larger treatment area, this would result in the price quoted increasing. Another factor is the option to have microneedling with PRP.  Adding the PRP to your microneedling significantly increases the results and does incur an additional fee.

There are some other factors that can play a role in the overall cost as well. This includes the location of the clinic, as some states in the US are naturally more expensive than others. Furthermore, the experience of your provider and the qualifications he or she boasts will have an impact as well.

Am I a Candidate for Microneedling?

A good candidate for microneedling is someone who has skin addresses that they would like to address, such as an uneven texture, scarring, acne, large pores, or fine lines.

Microneedling is suitable for all skin types. While it is usually used on the face, it can also be used on the back, arms, and abdomen.

If you’re interested in this procedure, we will always start with a consultation to assess your suitability and ensure you have realistic expectations.
