If you need to rejuvenate your overall appearance, Restylane® family of fillers contains products for all your aesthetic concerns. Restylane® is a dermal facial filler that adds volume and fullness to the skin. It smooths facial wrinkles and folds, replaces volume in the cheeks and midface, and enhances the lips.
At West Michigan Plastic Surgery, we offer Restylane® to men and women in Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids looking for a non-invasive way to refresh and refine their skin.
The hyaluronic acid particles in Restylane® attract and bind water molecules, which helps to boost the volume of the skin.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally produced by the body and is responsible for giving skin plumpness and volume. Less hyaluronic acid is produced over time, so the skin starts to lose fat, and wrinkles and fine lines develop. Restylane® contains hyaluronic acid, so it helps to return some of the plumpness and volume to the skin.
If you would like to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, plump your lips, even improve the appearance of your hands, you may be a good candidate for Restylane®.
Restylane® is a versatile family of dermal fillers that can be used to rejuvenate different areas of the face and hands. Dr. Holley or one of our providers will review the options with you to determine which products would be most suitable based on your areas of concern. He will then customize a treatment plan for you based on your facial rejuvenation goals. Your consultation is also the ideal time to discuss possible risks and complications of the procedure.
Restylane® takes about 30 minutes to administer.
The effects of Restylane® can be seen immediately after treatment and improvements may continue for up to two weeks. Restylane® is a temporary but relatively long-lasting filler that can last up to 18 months.
There is no downtime after Restylane® so you can resume daily activities right away. You may experience some swelling and bruising near the treatment areas, but the swelling should resolve within 2-3 days.
