Breast Lift Procedure
When you have a breast lift at West Michigan Plastic Surgery, Dr. Holley will ensure that the treatment is bespoke and crafted to suit your specific needs. There are three different approaches that may be used. These are as follows:
- An anchor lift, which enables the surgeon to remove any extra fat or skin by making an incision around the areola, along the crease of the breast, and below the breast.
- A lollipop lift, which involves an incision encircling the areola and running vertically toward the crease of the breast.
- A circumareolar lift, which involves a circular incision around the areola to remove excess skin and tissue.
Dr. Holley will explain the procedure and make his recommendations on the right approach for your needs.
Breast Lift Recovery
The recovery process can involve a bit of discomfort, swelling, and bruising after the breast lift procedure. This is normal. You will be advised to wear either a supportive, soft sports bra or a specialized surgical bra so that you can minimize the swelling.
After the first week, your pain should decline considerably. The swelling and bruising will continue to go down after this. Dr. Holley will discuss your recovery process at length with you at the consultation as well as at your follow up appointments post-op. Strictly adhering to his recovery plan will ensure optimal results from your breast lift procedure in the end.
