Botox® vs. Dysport® vs. Jeuveau™
All three of these products are neurotoxins that work by acting on the same neurotransmitter. They have small differences in a formula that may make one a better choice for you. Dysport® results often become visible a few days sooner than the others. Jeuveau™ may give you a more natural, subtle look. At West Michigan Plastic Surgery, we offer all three options so we can find the ideal one for your needs.
Where Can I Have Botox®?
Botox® treats lines and wrinkles in three areas: crow’s feet around the eyes, horizontal forehead creases, and vertical wrinkles between the eyebrows. Each area will require a different amount of Botox®, so pricing per area will differ. Doctors use Botox® all over the body to treat a wide range of medical conditions.
Am I a Good Candidate for Botox®?
If you have expression lines and wrinkles, you may make a good candidate for Botox®. Most people can have Botox®, which has an extensive safety record. If you have ever had a reaction to any product of this type, you are probably not a candidate.
Is There Any Downtime With Botox®?
Botox® requires no downtime. You can have the ten-minute treatment on a lunch break and return to work afterward. The most common side effects are a small amount of swelling or bruising at the injection sites.
What Results Will I See With Botox®?
Botox® results start to develop over the next three days to a week. You can expect your results to last three to four months. Many people schedule regular Botox® sessions to keep their wrinkle-free look indefinitely.
