How Does Liposuction Work?
Dr. Holley uses tumescent liposuction, injecting a sterile combination of saline and local anesthetic into the layer of fat under the skin. This method minimizes any bleeding during the procedure. You will have a compression garment or bandage to wear after surgery. This helps control swelling and protect your results. Your recovery timeline depends on the size and location of your treatment area. Most people can return to work within a week and become more active after two to three weeks. Residual swelling may keep you from seeing the complete results of your liposuction for up to six months.
