Think about your current hair removal process. How much time does it waste, and how much money do you spend? Forget about your old, tiresome hair removal methods because you have a better option. Laser hair removal targets hair follicles to stop hair growth for long-lasting smooth results. Dr. Holley and his team offer Forever Bare BBL™ for hair removal.

How Does Laser Hair Removal With Forever Bare BBL™ Work?

Laser hair removal with Forever Bare BBL™ works by targeting the pigment in the hair follicle. The light energy heats pigment particles, causing damage to the follicle and disrupting its ability to produce new hair. The light wavelengths target pigment in the hair root, so it works best on people with dark hair and fair skin. However, technological advances have made removing hair from a wide range of skin and hair types possible.

How to Prepare for Laser Hair Removal

Following these preparation tips will make your hair removal treatment safer and more effective.

Avoid Sun Exposure

Laser hair removal works best with more contrast between hair and skin, so avoid tanning or sun exposure for at least two weeks before the procedure. This includes tanning beds, spray tans, and self-tanning products.

Avoid Waxing or Plucking

The hair follicles need to be intact for the laser to work. Avoid waxing, plucking, or electrolysis for at least four weeks before the procedure. All these methods pull out the hair roots. You can still shave, as it only removes the hair above the skin and leaves the root inside the follicle.

Discuss All Medications

Some medications, such as antibiotics and blood thinners, can increase your risk of bruising or other side effects. Some supplements may also put you at risk. Bring a list of all your medications and supplements to your consultation.

How Many Laser Hair Removal Treatments Will I Need?

The number of treatment sessions needed depends on the thickness, pigmentation, and location of the treated hair. Coarse, dark hair absorbs more energy during Forever Bare BBL™ treatment than fine, pale hair. Most people need six to eight treatment sessions to eliminate hair growth. Since hairs go through their life cycle of growing and resting at different times, not all hairs are active during each treatment.

How Long Does Laser Hair Removal Last?

The length of laser hair removal varies from person to person, but most people experience a significant reduction in hair growth for several years. Occasional stray hairs may appear, but they will look and feel finer, thinner, and softer than the old growth. Maintenance treatments once a year can keep skin smooth and hair-free for most people.

Am I a Good Candidate for Laser Hair Removal With Forever Bare BBL™?

The Forever Bare BBL™ system can provide laser hair removal for most skin types and tones. Dark hair on pale skin will absorb the maximum amount of light energy, while very pale blonde or gray hair will absorb less and may require more treatments. Most people make good candidates for this safe, effective treatment.
