You are put under general anesthesia during a breast augmentation while Dr. Holley follows your personalized plan from where the incisions are placed, implant type, and breast implant placement type.

This procedure takes 1 to 2 hours to complete, depending on your treatment plan. Many women get a breast lift along with breast augmentation.
Am I a Candidate for a Breast Augmentation?
Most women can be good candidates for breast augmentation. The following reasons may make you a good candidate:
- Are in generally good physical health
- Having realistic expectations and goals for breast augmentation
- You feel as though your breasts are too small or have volume loss
- Having breasts that are asymmetrical
- One or more breasts that did not physically develop properly
- You already have fully developed breasts
- Not a smoker
Dr. Holley will discuss your candidacy for breast augmentation during your consultation. You may not be a good candidate for breast augmentation if you are pregnant or breastfeeding because these factors can change the results. Depending on the implant you want, you must also be 18 years old to receive saline implants and 22 years old for silicone implants.

The average recovery from breast augmentation can take between six to eight weeks. During recovery, your breasts may feel uncomfortable during the first week. Dr. Holley recommends avoiding strenuous exercise until your recovery period is complete.
What Results Can I Expect From a Breast Augmentation?
While the size increase will be seen immediately after breast augmentation, your breasts will need to settle in place during the several weeks of recovery.
