The brow typically sits comfortably just above or on the bone in young men and women. As we age, the eyebrow may slowly sink towards the eyelids, causing an angry, tired, or irritated appearance. Some patients may feel exhausted from using their muscles to lift their eyebrows all day.
Dr. Holley performs brow lifts to reduce signs of aging, lessen lines on the forehead and eyebrows, and restore the eyebrow to its natural, youthful position.
What is a Brow Lift?
A brow lift corrects signs of aging in the forehead and eyebrows by correcting the eyebrows’ position. The brow lift corrects droopy brows and reduces frown lines on the forehead and between the eyebrows.
At West Michigan Plastic Surgery, Dr. Holley performs two types of brow lifts: a coronal brow lift and an endoscopic brow lift. The coronal brow lift uses an incision behind the hairline from ear to ear for the most dramatic results. An endoscopic brow lift is less invasive, with small incisions behind the hairline.
Patients commonly combine brow lifts with facelifts or eyelid lifts for a more prominent facial rejuvenation.
