Restore Your Pre-Baby Body

*Individual Results May Vary
Having a baby is the most rewarding experience many women will ever have, but the physical changes they go through are often significant and life-changing. Some women are unable to fix these changes and get back to their pre-pregnancy shape, but a mommy makeover can provide the help they need.
At West Michigan Plastic Surgery in Kalamazoo, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Scott Holley specializes in breast enhancement and body contouring procedures that help women regain their pre-baby body.
What Is A Mommy Makeover?

*Individual Results May Vary
A mommy makeover is a combination of cosmetic procedures that are done to address physical changes women go through as a result of pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Sagging, deflated breasts, loose abdominal skin, separated abdominal muscles, stretch marks, and excess fat on the hips and thighs are cosmetic concerns women struggle with after having children. A mommy makeover targets these issues.
Common mommy makeover procedures include breast augmentation and/or breast lift, tummy tuck, and liposuction.
- Breast augmentation addresses the loss of volume in the breasts. Silicone, saline, or gummy bear implants are used to restore fullness.
- Breast lift surgery elevates sagging, droopy breasts by removing excess fat and skin, and reshaping the breast tissue.
- Tummy tuck surgery (abdominoplasty) restores a flatter tummy by removing loose skin and some fat from the abdomen and tightening separated abdominal muscles if necessary.
- Liposuction is a body contouring method that removes stubborn pockets of fat that don’t respond to diet and exercise.·
One of the most common procedures that Dr. Holley performs, a mommy makeover is tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient.

*How Does It Work?

*Individual Results May Vary
A mommy makeover is a unique combination of procedures tailored to fit the needs of each patient, so no two mommy makeovers will be the same. A mommy makeover is usually performed in a single surgery on an outpatient basis. Surgery is done using general anesthesia and typically takes 3-5 hours.
*Results and recovery

*Individual Results May Vary
While results are immediately visible, complete healing will often take 2-3 months. Those that maintain an active, healthy lifestyle can expect the investment in a money makeover to last a lifetime.
Mommy makeover surgery will require help with childcare and with routine household activities. Most will experience some pain, swelling, and bruising for the first 7-10 days. Many can resume normal light activities in 1-2 weeks but return to full, unrestricted activity may take 8 weeks.
