What Is A Brazilian Butt Lift?
A Brazilian butt lift is a minimally-invasive butt augmentation procedure that uses fat from your body to add volume and lift to the buttocks. It is a multi-step procedure in which fat is harvested from areas with larger deposits, and transferred to the buttocks.
The abdomen, hips, and thighs are the preferred areas for fat removal. Removing fat from specific areas of the body and transplanting it into the buttocks improves sagging buttocks, and enhances overall body contours. This is an important point! While the buttock is the focal point, BBL actually creates a dramatic transformation of the entire trunk; hips, waist, and buttock.

Candidates For A Brazilian Butt Lift

How Does It Work?
The Brazilian butt lift is performed under general anesthesia and takes between 2-4 hours.
During surgery, small incisions are made in the donor area, from which fat is removed using gentle liposuction. A cannula (small tube) is inserted below the skin and breaks up and suctions the fatty deposits.
The harvested fat is then put through a purification process in preparation for the transplanting process. The purified fat is then injected into targeted areas of the buttocks to create a fuller, shapelier look.

What is the Recovery Like?*
Recovery after a Brazilian butt lift can vary depending upon the extent of liposuction performed but typically takes about 2-3 weeks.
You may experience postoperative tightness and soreness in the buttocks which should subside within a week. You’ll be asked to wear a compression garment for a month to help minimize postoperative swelling, and support the redefined buttock contours as you heal. Most patients can return to work after 1 week.
After surgery, patients are typically advised to avoid sitting directly on their buttocks for prolonged periods, as this could interfere with the fat grafting process.
